Avram Rusu Studio introduces a new Botanica chandelier with a bold black-and-white colorway and spiral configuration, a striking exploration of the tension between precise geometry and organic form. Set within a De Stijl–inspired booth of black, white, grey, and mirrored surfaces, the chandelier is complemented by Avram Rusu’s Menhir console, Iaz mirror, and Liana collection.

Inspired by banana flowers, the Botanica Collection is a surreal topical fantasy in handblown glass with braided leather or ribbed brass stems - thorns optional. The Botanica Chandelier combines a dramatically scaled floral bloom with an interlocking chain of glass leaves suspended from a single arc clad in hand woven leather. The new Botanica spiral features structured lines that enhance the sculptural quality of the leaf-like elements, heightening their visual presence. The bold black and white palette amplifies contrast, creating a striking and graphic interpretation of the organic elements.

Each object is positioned to reveal different aspects of its design—some through contrast, others through reflection or spatial relationships. The layering of geometric and organic elements, both as surface treatments and three-dimensional forms, activates the space and invites close, thoughtful engagement. The installation aims to be both visually striking and conceptually cohesive.

New York-based Avram Rusu Studio was founded by architect and designer Andreea Avram Rusu in 2004. Infusing the creative process with her unique alchemy of sculptural intuition and specific formal concepts, Andreea combines technical precision with an affinity for organic flow and natural materials in her dynamic lighting, furniture, object, and rug collections. // avramrusu.com
