Avram Rusu was founded by architect and designer, Andreea Avram Rusu. The New York based company offers lighting that is as attentive to the quality of its composition as to the design of its elements.

Born in Bucharest, Romania, Andreea worked as an architect in Paris and New York prior to creating Avram Rusu. A background in architecture has informed a multifaceted approach to the lighting of space. "Lighting transforms space," says designer Andreea Avram Rusu, "It is the single greatest determinant of how a space feels."

The company began with a collection of hand made pieces in wood veneer, hardwood, papyrus and steel. This collection was represented by the Clodagh Showroom. Through a wide variety of materials, the sculptural approach to lighting has remained consistent.

In addition to a growing product line, Avram Rusu offers consulting services for lighting and interiors.
